Rock Island, Ill.--The Statesmen harriers returned to action Saturday as they competed at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational hosted by Augustana (Ill.).

The men's team finished 22nd out of 28 teams with 694 points as #16 nationally-ranked Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) won the title with 68 points.

Stephen Dak of Iowa Central CC was the top runner in the 8K event in a time of 24:34.6, narrowly defeating his teammate Josh Sawe (24:35.1) for the individual title. The Titans completed the gold-silver-bronze sweep as Titus Kiplimo was third in a time of 25:08.3.

Blake Wallace (Jr., Ottumwa, Ottumwa HS) led Penn by placing 82nd (105th overall) in a time of 28:10.5.

Jordan Letzring (So., Alta, Alta HS) placed 100th (139th overall) in a time of 28:36.8, while Josh Roudabush (So., Brooklyn, BGM HS) placed 158th (265th overall) in a time of 31:56.9 and Ben Beary (Fr., Knoxville, Knoxville HS) placed 172nd (301st overall) in a time of 35:28.6.

Donovan DeVore (Fr., Wilton, Wilton HS) rounded out the Statesmen scoring in 182nd place (317th overall) in a time of 39:38.9.

Next: Penn travels to Des Moines next Friday to compete in the Grand View Invitational.
