Oskaloosa--The Penn women's soccer team has been bitten by bad luck in Midwest Collegiate Conference action as it remained winless with a 3-0 loss to Viterbo (Wis.) Saturday.

The Lady Statesmen (3-7-3, 0-3-1 MCC) dropped the shot count just 17-11, but could not get past V-Hawk goalkeeper Portia Holtegaard who finished with six saves.

Viterbo scored twice in the first half in the 22nd and 39th minutes and added an insurance goal in the 66th minute.

Jessica Marshall (Sr., Peoria, Ariz., Phoenix CC) led the Penn offense with four shots (three on goal), while Ashley Hasler (Sr., Ogden, Utah, Treasure Valley CC) had three shots and Vanessa Cortes (Sr., Fresno, Calif., Fresno City CC) tallied two shots.

Kristen Dolen (Jr., Independence, Mo., William Chrisman HS) finished with nine saves in the loss.

Penn stays at home to host Waldorf in MCC action Saturday at 5 p.m. The evening will also serve as Senior Night and Breast Cancer Awareness Night.
