Oskaloosa--The Lady Statesmen soccer team will have its work cut out for it as it begins the Midwest Collegiate Conference Tournament Saturday.

Penn (5-9-3, 2-5-1 MCC) enters the national-qualifying tournament as the #7 seed out of nine teams. The Lady Statesmen have drawn the #2-seeded Viterbo V-Hawks Saturday at 2 p.m. in La Crosse, Wis.

The two squads met in Oskaloosa on October 4 with the V-Hawks claiming a 3-0 victory.

Other first-round matchups pit #4 Ashford against #5 Clarke in Clinton and #3 Grand View against #6 Mount Mercy in Des Moines. All games will begin at 2 p.m.

#1 seed St. Ambrose will wait to see who it plays in Saturday's quarterfinals in Davenport as #8 Waldorf and #9 Iowa Wesleyan face off Wednesday in the play-in game.

The semifinals are set for Saturday, November 8 at 2 p.m. at the site of the highest remaining seeds and the championship game will be Wednesday, November 12 at 2 p.m. at the site of the highest remaining seed.
