Penn (1-2), who outshot the Crimson Wave 30-5, got on the board early in its home opener.

Larson scored off a pass from Ashley Hart (Jr., Gilbert, Ariz., Desert Ridge HS) at the 8:15 mark and then put another ball past the goalkeeper at the 16:45 point.

Brittany Hajicek (So., Grand Prairie, Texas, Mansfield Timberview HS) made it 3-0 before halftime with an unassisted goal at the 42:24 mark.

Dana Tamos (So., Victoria, Australia, Ringwood College) concluded the day's scoring in the 78th minute when she recorded a goal off a pass from Hillary Gallego (Jr., Arlington, Texas, Mansfield Summit HS).

Larson led Penn with six shots, while Melisa Wink (So., Brookfield, Ill., Lyons Township HS) was next with five shots.

Lauren Terrell (Fr., Chandler, Ariz., Chandler HS), with four shots, and Erin Dickey (Sr., Collinsville, Ill., Southwestern Ill. CC) and Victoria Schiebel (Jr., Mansfield, Texas, Mansfield HS), with three shots each, also made life tough on the opposing goalkeeper.

Katie Burnett (Jr., Mesa, Ariz., Desert Ridge HS) recorded three saves in her first collegiate shutout.
