Nik Rule scored his team-best sixth goal of 2009
Marshall, Mo.--Nik Rule (Sr., Idaho Falls, Idaho, Skyline HS) is building quite a 2009 resume, but unfortunately his efforts Tuesday were too little to break the Statesmen's losing streak as Penn fell 2-1 to Missouri Valley in non-conference action.

The Statesmen (2-4-1), who have now dropped four in a row, gave up two first half goals to trail 2-0 at the break.

Rule finally got his squad on the board with a goal in the 86th minute, but the visiting Statesmen could not produce another score. The goal is Rule's team-leading sixth of 2009. He also has four assists for 16 statistical points this fall.

Penn was outshot 15-9 against the Vikings.

Tadeo Cavazos (Sr., Baytown, Texas, Lee HS) posted eight saves on the afternoon.
