Jordan Letzring placed 28th out of 77 runners Friday
Des Moines--Four Penn men's cross country runners took part in the Grand View Invitational Friday.

There were unfortunately not enough individuals to qualify as a team for Penn as Morningside claimed the team trophy with 46 points.

Jordan Letzring (Jr., Alta, Alta HS) led the way for the Statesmen on the 8K Ewing Park course as he placed 28th out of 77 total competitors in a time of 30:11.

(So., Wilton, Wilton HS) was next in 63rd place in a time of 34:51, while Zack Schrock (So., Urbandale, Colfax-Mingo HS) was 71st overall in a time of 37:08 and Gabriel Green (Fr., Anniston, Ala., Anniston HS) was 75th in a time of 38:34.

Next: Penn comes home to Oskaloosa for its own meet next week by hosting the William Penn Invitational at the Lacey Sports Complex next Saturday at 10 a.m.
