Canton, Mo.--Nik Rule (Sr., Idaho Falls, Idaho, Skyline HS) added to his impressive goals total as the Statesmen soccer team put away Culver-Stockton (Mo.) 3-0 in non-conference play Wednesday.

Rule put Penn (6-8-1) up early when he scored off a pass from Vince Beseau (Sr., Florissant, Mo., Hazelwood Central HS) at the 18:10 mark.

The seniors combined for another goal just over ten minutes later as Rule again put a shot in off a pass from Beseau. The goals are Rule's 11th and 12th of 2009, while Beseau now has four assists this fall.

Jacob Fairchild (Fr., Beaumont, Texas, West Brook HS) put the game officially out of reach by scoring in the 81st minute for his second goal of the year. The assist was credited to Matt Saner (Sr., West Plains, Mo., Neosho CC), his second of 2009.

Rule had eight shots as Penn dominated the shots battle 24-6. Beseau, Saner, and Rudy Bear (Sr., Baytown, Texas, Sterling HS) all added three shots apiece.

Tadeo Cavazos (Sr., Baytown, Texas, Lee HS) needed to record just one save in the contest.
