Lauren Terrell led Penn with with nine goals this fall
Oskaloosa--Lauren Terrell (So., Chandler, Ariz., Chandler HS) earned postseason recognition for the first time in her collegiate career as the all-Midwest Collegiate Conference women's soccer teams were announced Monday.
Terrell was named to the honorable-mention squad as a total of 30 athletes were recognized by the league, including 14 first-teamers and 16 honorable mentions.
The sophomore paced the Lady Statesmen (7-10-1, 2-5-1 MCC) with nine goals for 18 total points. She recorded two game-winning goals and had three contests with two scores each.
Within league play, Terrell tied for third with five goals and tied for seventh with ten points.
Regular season champion St. Ambrose swept the league's top awards. Samantha Cohen was named MCC Player of the Year, while Ashley Dexter garnered Newcomer of the Year laurels. Jon Mannall claimed the Coach of the Year award for the third season in a row.
