Oskaloosa--Caitlin Hadden (Jr., Oskaloosa, Oskaloosa HS) finished her junior campaign by setting a new standard for defensive play in breaking the all-time digs mark at Penn.

Hadden snapped the career record with 21 digs against Graceland in the regular-season finale on November 4. She now has a current tally of 2,040 digs (4.69 per game), breaking the old mark of 2,025, set by Cohri Haas (2004-2007).

The junior concluded 2009 with 794 digs (5.16 per game), while she managed 820 digs a year ago (5.29 per game) and 426 digs (3.38 per game) as a freshman.

Hadden reached double figures in digs in all but two matches this year, including a career high of 46 against Augustana (Ill.) on September 25. She was in double digits in 38 of 41 matches in 2008 and also reached the mark 19 times in 2007.
