Oskaloosa--Jordan Letzring (Jr., Alta, Alta HS) was honored for his excellence in the classroom as he was named a 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Men's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete.

Letzring owns a 3.911 Grade Point Average in industrial technology.

The NAIA announced that 170 men's cross country runners were awarded the laurel.

To be eligible for the award, athletes must be of at least junior academic standing, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, and have attended the nominating institution for at least one full academic year.
