Krista Pettit currently maintains a 3.987 GPA in pre-professional biology
Oskaloosa--Two Lady Statesmen volleyball players were honored for their excellence in the classroom as they were named 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Volleyball Scholar-Athletes.
Krista Pettit (Jr., Grundy Center, Grundy Center HS) owns a 3.987 Grade Point Average in pre-professional biology, while
Caitlin Hadden (Jr., Oskaloosa, Oskaloosa HS) has a 3.543 GPA in elementary education.
The NAIA announced that 304 volleyball players were awarded the laurel.
To be eligible for the award, athletes must be of at least junior academic standing, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, and have attended the nominating institution for at least one full academic year.
