As a team, Penn placed 14th out of 29 teams with 8,688 pins in six regular games and several Baker games.
Lindenwood B (Mo.) won the team crown with 9,751 pins, while Wichita State (Kan.) took runner-up honors with 9,674 pins. Kimani Smith of Lindenwood B won the individual title at the 184-player tournament with a 227.2 average.
Rangel topped Penn by placing 19th overall with a 208.3 average, while
Brandon Brooks (Jr., Sigourney, Vincennes) was 61st with a 183.5 average, including a new single-game school record of 260 in his fourth game.
James Miller (Jr., Oswego, Ill., Vincennes) also threw all six games and posted a 178.3 average.
Kyle Hammann (So., Knoxville, Knoxville HS) owned a 207.3 average in four games played, while
Andrew Zaug (Fr., Waverly, Waverly-Shell Rock HS) averaged 172.0 pins in four games.
Jarrod Lindner (Fr., Agency, Cardinal HS), with a 154.5 average in two games, and
Devon Axtell (Fr., Oskaloosa, Oskaloosa HS), with a 150.5 average in two games, rounded out the team's scoring.
