Oskaloosa--As part of the NAIA's Champions of Character initiative, members of the William Penn University baseball team volunteered their time to help at the Annual Oskaloosa Main Street Lighted Christmas Parade December 3-4.
The team, who has now volunteered for the event for each of the past 14 years, assisted with security and parking at the parade.
"We all enjoy the connection this helps facilitate with our community," Penn Head Baseball Coach Mike Laird said. "Working the Christmas Parade is one way our baseball team can say ‘thanks' for all the great support we receive. It is our pleasure to help out."
