The senior had a rough start, losing his match of the day in the 14-person 125-pound weight class. Fortunately, he regrouped and dominated the consolation bracket with five straight wins, including one by fall in a time of 2:45.
Chustz eventually avenged his only loss of the day by defeating Cody Tyler of Nebraska-Omaha 8-4 in the third-place match.
Although no other Statesmen grappler collected multiple wins, four had one win each Saturday.

David Crow (Jr., Baumholder, Germany, Baumholder HS) also finished 1-2 at 133 pounds.
