As a team, Penn placed 13th out of 14 teams with 7,333 pins in six regular games and 12 Baker games.
McKendree's (Ill.) Shrek team took first in the standings with 8,526 pins, but lost to Lindenwood's (Mo.) Little Rascals squad in the finals of bracket competition. Penn entered as the #13 seed and went 0-2 in the tournament.
Powell led Penn by placing tenth with a 196.5 average. She opened her tournament with a monster school-record score of 279, easily breaking the old record of 226.
Sarah Randles (Fr., Las Vegas, Nev., Shadow Ridge HS) also had a very nice showing, taking 21st with a 189.3 average.
Anna Groat (Fr., Council Bluffs, Jefferson HS) was next as she had a 175.0 average. Powell, Randles, and Groat each bowled in all six games.
Breanne Underwood (Jr., Treynor, Treynor HS) owned a 164.3 average in four games, while
Britney Cherry (Fr., South Beloit, Ill., Plainfield HS) had a 161.0 average in three games.
Leah Early (Fr., Cedar Rapids, Jefferson HS) averaged 155.0 pins in two games, while
Jennifer Smith (Fr., Oskaloosa, Derby Kan. HS) averaged 145.5 pins in two games.
Amanda Edenholm (Fr., Marysville, Wash., Marysville-Pilchuck HS) scored 149 pins in her lone game.
