Three Statesmen grapplers are ranked in the Central Qualifying Group
Oskaloosa--The final 2009-2010 NAIA wrestling rating was released today.

As a team, Penn fell one spot to 25th with 2.5 points. Notre Dame (Ohio) is heading the nation for the sixth rating in a row, far ahead of the field with 144.5 points. Great Falls (Mont.) is second with 92.5 points, while Missouri Valley is third with 89 points. Lindenwood (Mo.) and McKendree (Ill.) are tied for fourth with 84 points each.

Fellow Iowa institution Grand View is ninth with 46.5 points, while Northwestern is tied for 18th with 16.5 points and Morningside is 20th with 16 points.

Matt Chustz (Sr., Manassas Park, Va., Manassas Park HS) is the only Penn wrestler ranked nationally, falling to the #9 spot at 125 pounds.

Penn is again seventh as a team in the Central Qualifying Group poll with 37.5 points. Missouri Valley remains in first with 206 points, while Grand View is second with 176.5 points and Oklahoma City is third with 138 points.

Chustz finishes the regular season in second at 125 pounds, while Dustin Howa (Sr., Price, Utah, Carbon HS) is is fourth at 141 pounds. David Crow (Jr., Baumholder, Germany, Baumholder HS) reenters the rating, claiming the #6 position at 133 pounds.

Next: Penn hosts the NAIA Central Qualifying Tournament Saturday in Oskaloosa. Action begins at 9 a.m. in Penn Gymnasium with the first two consolation rounds in the upper gym.
