Christine Gamble owned a 3.88 GPA entering this spring
Oskaloosa--Ashley Goepferich (Sr., Dallas Center, Marshalltown CC) and Christine Gamble (So., Pahrump, Nev., Pahrump Valley HS) were honored for their excellence in the classroom as they were named 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes.

Entering the spring, Goepferich owned a 3.77 Grade Point Average in psychology, while Gamble owned a 3.88 GPA in bio-chemistry.

The NAIA announced that 275 softball players were awarded the laurel.

To be eligible for the award, athletes must be of at least junior academic standing, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, and have attended the nominating institution for at least one full academic year.
