Oskaloosa--William Penn University men's basketball coach
John Henry has announced the signing of Jacob Meyer to a letter of intent to attend the University in the fall and compete for the men's basketball program.
Meyer, a 6-2, 158-pound shooting guard, is a native of Chaska, Minn. and will come to Penn from Chaska HS.
Under the direction of Coach Dana Kallman, he averaged 12.8 points as a senior en route to being named an all-conference player. Meyer knocked down 78 three-pointers in his final prep campaign.
"Jacob can really shoot the ball from deep," Henry said. "He is a great addition to our program and University."
Penn finished the 2009-2010 season at 22-11 overall (9-7 MCC). The team reached the MCC Tournament Finals for the sixth time in the last seven years.
