Jason Batek earned two all-conference laurels at Illinois Valley Central HS
Oskaloosa--William Penn University men's soccer coach Kevin Rushing has announced the signing of Jason Batek to a letter of intent to attend the University in the fall and compete for the men's soccer program.
Jason, the son of Bill and Linda Batek, is a native of Chillicothe, Ill. and recently graduated from Illinois Valley Central HS.
Batek became a starter for his high school team during his sophomore year and helped the squad to a 40-14-9 record over the past three years. IVC reached the regional championship twice in his tenure.
A two-time all-conference defender (first team as a senior), Batek obtained all-sectional recognition by the IHSSCA and was also a Senior All-Star team selection.
He was voted as his team's best defensive player as a junior and senior.
