Reed, who has guided one individual to All-America status, joined the Penn staff as an assistant coach during the 2007-2008 season.
Reed, who most recently was the head coach at Central from 2004-2007, also skippered the Wabash (Ind.) program from 2002-2004, guiding one All-American and as well as helping the squad finish second at the Midwest Regional Tournament in 2004, the team's highest finish in 18 years. He has also been an assistant coach at both the high school and college levels.
A 1994 graduate of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a degree in biology, Reed also earned his master's in science and sport science-pedagogy from UW-La Crosse in 2000.
While at UW-La Crosse, Reed succeeded on the mat, garnering All-American honors twice. He has also organized and instructed various camps through the Midwest and has competed for the Hawkeye Wrestling Club.
Reed is also a professor in the health and life sciences division at the University. He resides in Oskaloosa with his wife Gloria and their children Austin, Aiden, Max, and Luke.
