Buster Albertson is in his first year as co-head men's golf coach.

Albertson, who has spent his entire adult life around the game of golf, most recently coached collegiately at Indian Hills Community College from 1988-1996. During that span, he led his squads to the NJCAA National Tournament every year and guided ten individuals to All-American status. Several players also furthered their games at the NCAA Division I level, playing at such schools as Northern Iowa, Iowa, Iowa State, Missouri, and others.

"We are pleased to have Buster join our men's golf program," Hafner said. "He brings a great deal of experience and credibility to the program. He is a proven winner and hopefully will help take our men's golf program to new levels of success."

A strong competitor himself, Albertson has won the Ottumwa City Tournament and the Ottumwa Country Club Championship as well as the State Elks Championship on five separate occasions. He has also claimed the State Junior Chamber of Commerce Championship title twice. Albertson has two hole-in-ones and six double-eagles to his credit.

He has played in more than 30 Iowa Open and Iowa Amateur Tournaments and was a member of the Board of Directors for the Iowa Golf Association for ten years.

Albertson, who is retired from John Deere in Ottumwa, is a veteran of the United States Air Force (1954-1958). He resides in Oskaloosa with his wife Pam and has five children and ten grandchildren.

Wade Steinlage is in his fifth year as sports information director and third year as co-head coach of the men's golf team at William Penn.

He has guided two players to all-Midwest Collegiate Conference Tournament teams and one player, Cole Reiman, to an all-MCC award.  Reiman won the 2008 MCC Tournament to be the fifth league champion in school history.

Steinlage comes to Penn from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, where he spent one year as an intern in the sports information office. At Angelo State, he was the primary contact for women's soccer, volleyball, men's basketball, and softball.

Steinlage serves as the primary media contact for all Statesmen and Lady Statesmen athletic programs. His responsibilities include producing media guides and game programs, doing statistical work at all home contests, interacting with media and other SID offices, updating the athletics web site, writing previews and recaps of events, and other duties as assigned.

Steinlage was introduced to the Sports Information world as a student worker at Central College in Pella from 2001-2003. Prior to that experience, he was a sports writer for the Oskaloosa Herald and Pella Chronicle newspapers in 2001. He also interned for the West Ealing Newspaper Group in London.

The West Union, Iowa, native received his bachelor's degree in communication and sociology from Central College in May of 2003. He resides in Oskaloosa with his wife Jodi, a 2006 graduate of William Penn.
