Seward, Neb.--A handful of members of the William Penn track and field teams were unsuccessful in their final attempts to join the national qualifier list at the Concordia Twilight Meet Friday.
Oskaloosa--Just nine individuals scored points for the William Penn men's track and field team, but they all did so in a big way as the Statesmen placed high at the Midwest Collegiate Conference Outdoor Championships Saturday and Sunday.
Indianola/Des Moines--Meaghan Foster (Fr., Centerville, Iowa, Undecided) recorded the longest shot put toss of her short collegiate career to net another trip to nationals at the Kip Janvrin Open hosted by Simpson Thursday and Friday.
Oskaloosa--The William Penn track and field team performed well in the inaugural Statesmen Relays, while one athlete also finished high on the charts at the Midwest Collegiate Conference Multi-Event Championships Friday and Saturday.
