Oskaloosa--Five members of the league championship Statesmen baseball program were honored for extraordinary seasons as the all-Midwest Collegiate Conference baseball teams were announced Friday.

Davenport--Kyle Mauricio (Jr., Arden Hills, Minn., Physical Education) had four hits Saturday, but his efforts were not enough to keep the Statesmen baseball team alive in the Midwest Collegiate Conference Tournament, falling 4-2 to St. Ambrose.

Oskaloosa--William Penn University Baseball Coach Mike Laird has announced the signing of Collin Schulz to a National Letter of Intent to attend the University in the fall and compete for the baseball program.

Waterloo--The Statesmen baseball team rallied late to remain in the Midwest Collegiate Conference Tournament with a 3-2 win against #5 seed Clarke Tuesday.

Waterloo--Stan Simmons (Jr., Brooklyn, N.Y., Physical Education) left the park for the second time this year, but his roundtripper was not enough to lift the William Penn baseball team into the championship bracket of the Midwest Collegiate Conference Tournament Tuesday.
