Statesmen of the Week: Jeremiah Dennard and Kendall Bostelman

Oskaloosa -- Football player Jeremiah Dennard (So., St. Petersburg, Fla., business management) and women's wrestler Kendall Bostelman (Sr., Napoleon, OH., Exercise Science) have been named the Statesmen of the Week for the week of November 17-23.

Dennard led the William Penn defense in last Saturday's 38-9 win over Texas Wesleyan in the first round of the NAIA Football Championship Series. He finished with four tackles, an interception, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Dennard was also named the game's Outstanding Defensive Player.

Bostelman placed third place at 131 pounds in the Missouri Valley Open Friday and Saturday. She earned a spot on the podium by finishing 6-1 with three technical falls, two pin falls, and a decision.
