As A Statesmen:

Known for his 40-inch vertical leap, Davis was regarded as a top basketball defensive specialist and helped Penn win the 1979 Iowa Conference title. The team advanced to the NAIA Regionals.

After Graduation:

Inducted into Illinois Basketball Hall of Fame, Chicago Public School Hall of Fame and Dunbar High School Basketball Hall of Fame. Worked 23 years in Chicago public school system and in 2003 was named Executive Director of Sports Administration for Chicago Public schools.
