As A Statesmen:
Lettered in football and golf as a freshman at William Penn, but truly excelled in wrestling.
As a sophomore, he joined the wrestling team and helped the Statesmen accumulate a 49-0 dual record (the school record eventually ended at 54 straight wins). Over those seasons, Williams racked up 69 career wins which ranks 10th all-time at WPU. He was also a three-time NAIA national qualifier and helped the program to top-10 finishes at NAIA Nationals in 2003, 2004, and 2005.
During his tenure, he also guided William Penn to back-to-back NAIA regional titles in 2003 and 2004. In 2004, he won the regional title at 285 pounds, and his crown locked up the team's title.
