As A Statesmen:

Two-time first-team all-Iowa Conference. Single-game record-holder with 18 assists. Ranks second with 208 assists during the 1983-1984 season. Ranks fourth in career assists with 376. Helped team to regional playoffs in 1982. Two-time team captain. Team MVP as a senior.

After Graduation:

At the time of induction, he was the head basketball coach at Wapello HS (Iowa) for nearly three decades. Has also coached volleyball for 14 years and has over 300 career wins in both prep sports.
