Harry Wins First POW Laurel
Oskaloosa--Marquis Harry (So., Pompano Beach, Fla., Business Management) recorded a pair of takeaways en route to his team's top-25 upset, and for his efforts he earned the title of Heart of America Athletic Conference Football Defensive Player of the Week Monday, presented by Musco Lighting.
Harry, a first-time honoree, guided the defense as William Penn defeated then-No. 12 MidAmerica Nazarene 34-31 last Saturday.
Harry notched both of his interceptions in the second quarter, returning the first 32 yards. The second pick closed out the first half.
The sophomore also tallied two tackles (both solos) in Saturday's triumph.
For the year, Harry has accumulated 13 tackles (10 solos, 3 assists), while also posting two interceptions.
The weekly award is the second for WPU this season.
