Statesmen Drop Heart Outing Against Grand View
Des Moines--The William Penn men's wrestling team was kept off the scoreboard against #1 Grand View, falling 49-0 in a Heart of America Athletic Conference dual meet Thursday.
WPU (6-6, 4-5 Heart) struggled to get much going against the top squad in the NAIA with just four matches going the distance.
157-pounder Kael Bunce (Jr., Stockbridge, Mich., Mechanical Engineering) and 174-pounder Makail Stanley (So., Oreana, Ill., Biology) both lost by just decision.
Bunce dropped a 10-3 matchup to Trevor Anderson, while Stanley fell 6-2 to Caleb Swalla.
The navy and gold were also a bit undermanned as they forfeited three weight classes.
