Hargrove Wins by Tech Fall, Statesmen Drop Dual to Doane
Crete, Neb.--The William Penn men's wrestling team came up short on the road Friday, falling 47-5 to No. 5 Doane in non-conference dual meet action.
With WPU (0-7) behind 6-0, 133-pounder Lane Scorpil (Jr., Columbus Junction, Iowa, Business Management) narrowly missed a chance to get the visitors on the board as he lost 12-11 to Matthew Terrence.
The navy and gold dropped the next three bouts, but Cameron Hargrove (Sr., Bolingbrook, Ill., Sports Management) finally helped the Statesmen break through at 165 pounds as he dominated Kody Hahn to the tune of a 20-4 technical fall.
Unfortunately, the rest of the evening belonged to the Tigers as they won the last four bouts.
