The Statesmen women's bowling team will have a different look in the 2024-2025 season, but the expectation is that William Penn will still be in the thick of it by year's end.

Fourth-year Head Coach Kirstin Foster took the navy and gold to the Heart of America Athletic Conference title last year, but graduated a good amount of talent from that squad.

Back on the lanes, however, are first-team all-Heart performer Sammantha Meyers (Sr., Rockford, Ill., Elementary Education) and second-team all-Heart pick Caitlin Radliff (Sr., Belleville, Ill., Software Engineering) to guide William Penn.

Meyers leads the returners with a 185.4 average in 2023-2024, while Radliff posted a 183.2 clip.

Fellow letterwinners Kelcey Aczon (Jr., Las Vegas, Nev., Nursing), Olivia Nolte (Sr., Atkins, Iowa, Elementary Education), and Lucy Mitchell (So., Poulsbo, Wash., Psychology) are back to add experience, while Isabel Diaz (Sr., Kissimmee, Fla., Fine Arts) returns after sitting out last year due to injury.

Nolte owns the best 2023-2024 average of the foursome at 181.1, while Aczon is next at 173.0; Mitchell also had a 169.9 mark.  Two years ago, Diaz averaged 183.7 pins per outing.

Four new freshman are projected to impact the Statesmen this year as well.  They include Emma Chenoweth (Fr., Washington, Iowa, Elementary Education), Ashley Gorman (Fr., Stillwater, Minn., Exercise Science), Macyn Huston (Fr., Durant, Iowa, Sociology), and Hannalee Songer (Fr., Ottumwa, Iowa, Business Management).

Schedule: William Penn opens its season Saturday and Sunday at the Midwest Collegiate Championship in Wauwatosa, Wis.

The lengthy regular season will conclude on February 15-16 at the Hoosier Classic, while the postseason starts the following weekend at the Heart Championship.
