The William Penn women's golf team will look to remain a league contender as it ventures into the 2025-2026.

The Statesmen, headed by second-year head coach Darin Fisher, claimed the Heart of America Athletic Conference title a year ago.  The team earned a bid to the NAIA National Championship where it finished 26th.

Gabriana Franco (Sr., Tracy, Calif., Exercise Science) will be WPU's top returner after garnering yet another all-Heart honor, the third of her career.

Franco posted a 79.9 stroke average (low of 71) and won one tournament crown.

Sarah Gutuza (So., Germiston, South Africa, Political Science), with an 87.6 average, and Amelia Meador (Jr., Oskaloosa, Iowa, Kinesiology), with a 91.1 mark, are also back on the roster.

Fisher's recruiting class includes Kaylee Chisholm (Fr., Bettendorf, Iowa, Nursing), Chloe Jacques (Fr., Chatham, Ontario, Political Science), Mallary Johnson (Jr., Olds, Iowa, General Accounting), and Olivia Quail (Fr., South Lyon, Mich., Sports Management).

Schedule/Conference

William Penn will open its five-tournament fall campaign Monday and Tuesday at the Missouri Valley Invitational in Marshall, Mo.  The Statesmen will also host the Statesmen Invitational at TPC Deere Run on October 13-14 before wrapping up the autumn at the Heart Preview on October 21-22.
